Therapists and Assessors
Therapists and Assessors
Our therapists (find out more) and assessors (find out more) are all highly skilled professionals and have many years experience in dealing with cancer patients, understanding the effects of cancer on people's lives, and are used to working with people at all stages of the illness.
First Contact
Upon contacting the Centre, we will offer an appointment for an initial assessment within a week. Up to an hour will be spent talking to one of our assessors, who will listen to your concerns and help you sort out your thoughts and decide how we can best support you. Together, you then choose an appropriate therapy which will be organised for you before you leave. After completing an agreed number of therapy sessions, the assessor will meet you again to check on your progress and review your treatment here. You will then be discharged from the care of the Centre.
Our Therapies
We offer a carefully selected range of therapies aimed at helping you to regain control and therefore improve the quality of life.
Confidentiality
Our service is completely confidential, but as we are part of your overall care, it is usually in your own interests that our assessor writes to your other doctors and nurses. However, we will not contact anyone without your permission.
